Verdict

GREAT RUN found only stablemate Professor too good when runner-up at Haydock last week. Virtually pulled-up in the first furlong on his debut, he understandably showed signs of inexperience last time and will know more here. Labienus also showed ability at Sandown on his introduction without threatening the winner and Bay Laurel's strong finish over 6f here a fortnight ago suggests she'll appreciate this longer trip. Title Gent makes most appeal of Brian Meehan's newcomers with Fallon on board while Peace Treaty and Canadian Run, a half-brother to all-weather winner Bilko Pak, are other debutants to note.
