In depth

Verdict

Alfresco, Jack Sullivan and Monkey Glas take the eye here and narrow preference is for Alfresco to confirm recent form with Monkey Glas. Jack Sullivan seems to have gone off the boil slightly since scoring here towards the end of last year. He won that day in decisive fashion but was a beaten favourite next time and has been well beaten though upped in class in two recent visits to Nad Al Sheba. Vortex is well treated here but is another who seems to have gone off the boil and is taken on. Monkey Glas won two successive races before finishing third last time. Alfresco is five pounds better off for a short head defeat by Monkey Glas recently and has done well since, turning the tables on that rival when beating him by three quarters of a length and is a pound better off here. He is coming here in form, and though this is a step up in grade, Alfresco can take this.
