Verdict

Paul Howling's White Shift belied odds of 20/1 when successful at Bath last week and she has every chance of following up that success racing off just a 3lb higher mark today but she has never been the most consistent of performers and a better bet looks to be TOM FOLAN, who is preferred with Avrilo rated the best of the rest. The selection only won narrowly at Newmarket last week but she has been running to a consistent level of form and Andrew Reid's filly can defy the 4lb rise for that win. Liberty Lady was not beaten far on the Polytrack at Kempton last time and has claims but she has yet to race on turf so cannot be backed with confidence. Bryn Palling's Cwmni was comfortably held behind Miss Hollybell at Ffos Las last time and now seems a shade high in the weights and of more interest may be Avrilo, who stayed on well when successful at Goodwood earlier this week, a victory that she escapes a penalty for. She looks the main danger to the progressive Tom Folan, who is marginally preferred.
