Verdict

Woolfall Sovereign remains in fine form and won at Wolverhampton three weeks ago with Moorhouse Lad well back in third. He had earlier beaten Bajan Tryst and Even Stevens when scoring over course and distance by a length from Swiss Cross. The top weight re-opposes on better terms today, however, and may well reverse the form but has yet to win over the minimum trip and FRATELLINO finished ahead of him last time. That was the latter's first outing since November and George Margarson's charge can find enough improvement to take this.
