Verdict

EMERALD WILDERNESS boasts the highest handicap mark and should be spot on now after a couple of recent outings. He beat Grey Mirage and no less than four other subsequent winners over track and trip in February and a repeat would see him home and dry in this. Mia's Boy could only manage fourth in last year's renewal and Tasrih has a tough task at the weights racing under a penalty. Alfred Hutchinson's all-weather wins have all come at Wolverhampton, but Freewheel is the least exposed and may well reverse recent running with Mia's Boy on only his second start since May.
