        Verdict

        George Baker finished second in Jersey last time but is back on a winning mark as he looks to end a long losing run. Run It Twice was placed in a claimer over 6f here last month and stays this longer trip but Alnoomas may find today's distance beyond him. Nubar Boy is 9lb higher than his win at Kempton in March and Club House scored over track and trip off a 6lb lower mark earlier this year. ALPINE MIST went close over course and distance before a poor effort at Bath. She gets the vote to open her account back on this surface.
