In depth

Verdict

Westerly has been disappointing since landing a Pontefract maiden in June. Best Kept has also gone off the boil but Starlit Canata is proving consistent and there's probably still time for Gay Marriage to recapture her best form - she won over a mile here last year. CAPTAIN GEORGE looks to be improving with experience and will almost certainly be suited by the longer trip having failed to quicken when odds-on over a mile at Nottingham last month. Cam Hardie's claim is a bonus so James Fanshawe's charge gets the nod. Moshe is better than he showed at Newbury last time while Plucky Dip likes the Polytrack and has each-way claims.
