    Verdict

Gold Mine was beaten only a length on his handicap debut at Epsom last month. It's likely he'll stay this longer trip and will be thereabouts at the finish if doing so, but another chance is given to VIKING STORM. A maiden winner over today's distance, he's been placed once in three starts in better grade handicaps and this drop in class can see him back to winning ways. Planetoid looks on a fair mark for his first start in a handicap and Madrasa can do better back over today's longer trip.
