Verdict

KIRSTY'S BOY looks the pick at the weights, though before getting carried away this trip is not ideal, while Tuscan King has no issues on that score and looks the danger. The latter has already got a course and distance win to his name, having scored in a seller last time. Generally a consistent sort, he can be relied upon to give his running and he is respected. Sunrise Lyric is interesting now switching to this grade from maiden company and she should also appreciate the step up in trip, so a market check is strongly advised. Ant Music gets this far and ran reasonably well on his sole previous start here, while Broughtons Swinger looks to have too much to do and preference is for Kirsty's Boy. Stan Moore's gelding has won twice here over 7f, a trip that appears to be his optimum. However, he did perform well enough on his only previous try over a mile to suggest that, with at least 10lbs in hand here, he can win today.
