      Verdict

      MASLAK arrives on the back of a win over 1m5f here when he had the re-opposing Guards Chapel over four lengths behind. Peter Hiatt's charge has won twice over hurdles in the past so this longer trip should be within his compass and he can follow up. Red Current is now 16lb higher than August's win at Folkestone and he was a well-beaten second at Wolverhampton last time, while Rodrigo De Freitas has been way below par on his last couple of starts. Frederick William is fit from hurdling but still without a win and Maison Brillet, a recent runner-up over 1m6f, looks a much bigger threat.
