In depth

Verdict

PATAVIUM PRINCE is considered better on turf, hence today's 12lb lower mark, but he scored over C&D in March and has been placed in both starts at Brighton since. Jo Crowley's charge gets the nod in an open contest ahead of Rio Royale, who has claims despite a 4lb rise for winning over track and trip last month, while Lastkingofscotland, For Life and Silvee all showed signs of a return to form when placed on the Polytrack last time. Forks went very close in a couple of starts on turf last month and is another to consider.
