Verdict

Clapperboard could see her price shorten if Intense Feeling can give a good account of herself in the previous race but this track hasn't traditionally suited front-runners so we will row in with CHORAL CLAN. Philip Mitchell's colt didn't really take to racing on turf, but he put up a fair effort behind Prim And Proper at Kempton in April and with that horse winning last weekend, the form has a solid look about it. Lifejacket has evidently taken time to come to hand though we'd prefer to have seen his stable operating in much better form. Crafted has shown little in three starts so far and is noted in the market on his handicap debut. Starlite Jewel ran a much better race than her finishing position at Yarmouth suggests and Ryan Powell will take off a valuable 3lb tonight.
