Verdict

There was plenty to like about LATIN TINGE during her juvenile year and she will be hard to beat if she has trained on this term. However, this is a tightly knit handicap and Fanditha, Act Green and Good Again have all proved they are capable of paying their way. Good Again won a fillies-only maiden at Ascot last summer before returning to the same Berkshire course to make her handicap debut at the back end of last season. The form has worked out respectably and, assuming she has matured in the intervening period, a bold show can be expected. Having landed a Great Leighs maiden over a mile, Act Green also knows what it takes to win a race and ought to have no issues with her stamina for the trip. Quite whether she has the quality to cope at this level is another matter, though, and she may be best left alone this afternoon. Fanditha is another that won her maiden in good style but she was then set a stiff test when finishing down the field in a big sales race at The Curragh. Still, that experience will have done her the power of good and Richard Hannon's filly can be rated as a big threat today. However, Latin Tinge seems a versatile character and it may be a case of her performing well in spite of the ground last term. As an American-bred, she can be expected to handle the Lingfield surface and today may be the day to catch Latin Tinge before the handicapper starts to intervene.
