In depth

Verdict

Brunette'Sonly won a very poor handicap here easily a fortnight ago with an improved performance which is reflected by an 11lb rise in the weights. Double Whammy has blundered his way round Newbury on both starts over fences and will need to jump better but Ballyegan followed a victory at Towcester with another good run in a better race at Newbury and looks a major threat. Tom George sent NODEBATEABOUTIT straight into handicap company for his chasing debut after three poor runs over hurdles and he looked bred for the job when beating the more experienced Rebel Swing at Wetherby. A 6lb rise looks perfectly manageable as better is expected and he can complete the double.
