Verdict

Mister New York should make his mark in handicaps and the blinkers could have a positive effect on Caprio but The Game can take this heat. He's now 5lbs higher than when winning over course and distance in December having gone up 2lbs for his defeat last time. That form looks solid though with the second having gone on to run two sound races whilst the selection raced a shade freely and may well be capable of better. Hurricane Hen promises to be suited by this longer trip on his second start since arriving from Ger Lyons's yard but didn't appear to find a great deal in front last time whilst Monadreen Flyer has begun to look a little exposed in Ireland. Mister New York is at the other end of the scale and has done enough in qualifying for a mark to make him of interest here whilst Caprio has looked progressive at a modest level. His latest start was a shade disappointing but the blinkers may sharpen him up and he's respected but the vote goes to The Game.
