    Verdict

Segal sets the standard from a form point of view however that form isn't too exciting and so preference is for Wasan ahead of King Of Cadeaux and Master Spy. Ed Dunlop is not normally renowned for providing debutante winners but of late his two-year-old's have been tending to run very well on their racecourse debuts and so Wasan, a rather expensive purchase at 525,000 guineas, should go well. A son of successful sire Pivotal, he can take advantage of a good draw to score. Bad Moon Rising and Stormbeam are two potential improvers after just one run, however the newcomers may be more dangerous. Mark Johnston's juveniles always need a check in the betting and Moothir is no different, whilst Master Spy is of interest but may need further in time. King Of Cadeaux is likely to be effective at this trip, whilst Segal needs to put in a good effort from the widest stall to win here. A decent-looking maiden, with Wasan taken to oblige.
