In depth

Verdict

This looks as though it could concern recent winners Murrin and Ektiaar with the first named just getting our vote, Codeword may do best of the others. The Terry Mills trained colt is improving with racing and beat a decent enough field over course and distance last time. There could be plenty more to come and a big run is expecetd. The obvious danger is Ekhtiaar as he was most impressive when successful on only his second outing. He may not have beaten much but did it readily and as with the selection he should improve further. Codeword has taken on some top opponents this term and wasn't disgraced at Ascot last time. This is more his level and he should be booked for third spot. The rest look to be up against it and so we return to Murrin as the likely winner.
