        Verdict

        Once rated 102, LOWTHER is not the force of old but has tumbled down the weights. He ran his best race for some time when runner-up over C&D last week and looks set for a return to winning ways with a similar effort. Srinagar Girl has had plenty of chances and patience has ran out with her while L'Hirondelle failed to cope with a 3lb rise last time having won over track and trip before that. Golden Desert won over 7f here last month, however, and finished a length ahead of Hereford Boy when beaten three lengths back at this track last week.
