Verdict

EMERALD WILDERNESS is given another chance here having gone very close at Kempton the last twice. Beaten only a head in similar company a week ago Robert Cowell's charge had the remainder, including Uphold, well behind and is taken to go one better. Green Wadi remains in good form as he wasn't beaten far despite finishing sixth over 1m4f here last time, but this represents tougher competition for the likes of Opus Maximus and recent C&D winner Choral Festival. Silver Bullitt ran poorly on his handicap bow but looks the type to improve on the all-weather this winter.
