Verdict

The market will give most clues and in the absence of it, QUICK WIT is the selection with Serhaal and Mass Rally among the dangers. The half-brother to Gallagher is an eyecatching entrant here and with Godolphin showing themselves as capable of sending out winners first time out; we are happy to row in at the likely odds. Serhaal was second in a maiden at Yarmouth. That was not a strong race though there is a likelihood of improvement. Mass Rally was fifth behind Fareej in a Newmarket maiden. It will be interesting to see how the market reacts post the earlier juvenile contests. Soho Theatre produced an improved effort last time out though will qualify for handicaps post these. Lily Lily is a full sister to Grand Cuvee so seven furlongs should suit. First Instance already appears in need of further whilst Calypso Star was very green on introduction at Newbury and is probably some way better than that bare formline suggests. Meezaan showed little on debut though is worthy of a watch in the market. Quick Wit has plenty of ticks in the right boxes and makes most appeal.
