Green Velvet was just a neck behind last time to complete a hat-trick of runner-up spots. She has won here before on the Polytrack but she has failed to land the main prize on the turf so far and may be heading for a place once more. Titus Gent beat Talamahana by a neck here most recently and in such good form throughout July he is the biggest threat to our selection which is DESERT ICON. He has been competing in 0-90 races of late and this is a much easier affair. This is a good opportunity for the gelding to reap success for the first time since his sole maiden success two years ago.
