Verdict

None of these inspire much confidence and only a tentative vote goes the way of BYRD IN HAND after a succession of placed efforts. He should be in the firing-line again with a repeat of Tuesday's second over track and trip. Doubts also surround Schottische, despite his recent good form, as both previous wins came on the Polytrack while Brighton runner-up Silvee hasn't scored since 2012. The remainder are even harder to fancy unless Claude Greenwood suddenly finds his form having tumbled down the weights.
