In depth

Verdict

Both John Gosden and Saeed bin Suroor are doing well with their juveniles this season and they are both represented by newcomers. Karen's Caper and Petticoat Hill are trained by Gosden, and Happy As Larry is the Godolphin entry, but we will give the vote to King's Kama. Like a lot of Sir Michael Stoute's two-year-old's this son of Giant's Causeway has looked in need of a couple of runs, and following two promising efforts at Yarmouth and Warwick he should be spot on for this. Happy As Larry has a decent American pedigree so shouldn't have any problems with this all-weather surface. Meanwhile Karen's Caper is also related to some decent dirt performers and should be well suited by this seven furlong trip. Petticoat Hill is by top American sire Timber Country out of a Saddler's Wells mare. The market should be watched closely concerning these debutantes, but King's Kama can make good use of his experience and gets the verdict.
