Maccool is a nicely bred daughter of Lancashire Oaks winner Mellow Park who should be winning races, but unless market support arrives in spades it may pay to look elsewhere on this occasion. Instead we'll take a chance on KITTY WELLS, herself a choicely bred full sister to the likes of Leger winner Milan, a filly we'd expect to improve for stepping up in trip. She's been off since a slightly disappointing run in the middle of summer but if we forgive her that and instead focus on an eye-catching debut then her each-way chance is clear. La Concorde and Cast Of Stars, the latter blinkered for the first time, are both respected but they wouldn't be ones to be getting carried away with at short prices. The former lacks a turn of foot and is surely not up to her BHA rating while Cast Of Stars has had eight chances and may be better over 10 furlongs.
