Verdict

This may develop into a match between Kakatosi and CITY GROUND and the latter gets the vote, while Mufti could be good enough to complete the frame. The selection made a pleasing debut when runner-up to Tesslam at Newbury on fast ground over this trip. His sire acted well on fast ground on dirt in the USA, so there is plenty of hope that he will go on the Polytrack and we will take him to make the necessary improvement to win. Kakatosi looks no easy-beat with the Balding runners going well and his narrow defeat in a Newbury maiden last time was very good form in the context of this race. If he acts on this surface then he should go close to winning. Mufti was not far away in a Newmarket maiden on debut but did not fare so well when dropped back to this trip last time and he has a bit to prove now. Handicapping should ultimately provide some success for him. Well Overdue should go better for the experience of his Folkestone debut, but he has plenty to find with our pick City Ground.
