THE THRILL IS GONE can take the opener at the main expense of Stunning In Purple and Kodiac Star. The Mick Channon-trained pick is certainly going the right way, having twice shown form over the minimum trip, including last time out at Kempton. Already proven on turf, she looks to have the most solid profile in this field and gets the nod. Stunning In Purple has had four runs to date, finishing runner-up at both Brighton and the Polytrack version of this venue. She is another with stout credentials and with the yard in cracking form she is very much respected. Kodiac Star has been showing steady improvement and is dropped back in trip tonight. She has raced only on fast ground so far but is not ruled out here by any means. Volcanic Dust looks the most interesting of the remainder, though the way things are going she may be best considered when handicapping, and The Thrill Is Gone can come good.
