In depth

Verdict

Cardinal won with a deal in hand at Wolverhampton earlier in the month but will find this tougher off an 8lb higher mark. Billy Red was only beaten a length over 5f here in October but races off a high enough rating on the all-weather and we're suggesting the grey SECRET ASSET may have his measure. The top weight hasn't had a lot of luck since scoring at Wolverhampton in the spring but was good enough to finish third in a Group 3 at Newbury in July and a repeat of that effort should suffice here.
