Verdict

Godolphin have two debutants running here, with TIA JUANA looking to be the stable's first pick ahead of La Ville Lumiere, and we'll side with her, whilst also acknowledging the claims of Shimmering Moment and Transvaal Sky. Frankie Dettori being aboard Tia Juana gives us a big clue, although the yard's second string have been known to go in. She's not got a great draw here, but it's not a massive field so may not be much of an inconvenience. A 50,000 guineas purchase, she's in line for a decent race at Doncaster next month, she's well related and may not find there's too much to beat here. Shimmering Moment cost connections $280,000 and has some Group One entries for the autumn; Transvaal Sky is entitled to come on for a run in a better race than this at Newbury last month, and Tom Dascombe, like Godolphin, has a tremendous record here. Of those to have raced before, Amtaar showed improvement from debut to be placed when tried at Kempton; this is a drop down in trip, but she clearly likes the surface. The market can give us more clues closer to the off, but we'll tentatively side with Tia Juana.
