Verdict

Mahmood Al Zarooni has already registered a winner and Yaa Salam is fancied to go well on his reappearance as he had Silver Samba well behind at Windsor in October. DARTFORD's fitness could give him the edge here, however, and John Gosden's colt can get off the mark with the step up in trip expected to suit after finishing second over a mile at Kempton last time. Commend is worth noting on his return although Poetic Power had the stronger form last term with a third at Nottingham in November his best effort. Yarmouth runner-up Almuftarris is another to keep a close eye on as he makes his seasonal debut.
