Verdict

CUT ACROSS makes his belated debut and is the only newcomer in the field. He cost 150,000gns, is a half-brother to Listed winner My Propeller and last week's Southwell scorer Bandstand, and can start making up for lost time here. Those with experience don't look any great shakes and have shown a similar level of ability including recent C&D third Saint Boniface and the selection's stablemate Betty Brook. Absent Amy and Available both went backwards last time, but Look At Me Now has gone close at Wolverhampton before though he's one of the more exposed in the field.
