Fourth in last year's 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, Winning Express went very close at this level later in the year. She has the beating of both Annecdote and Pavlosk on last season's form and may well figure on her seasonal debut. The German filly Emerald Star ran well in a Group 3 at Cologne last month and is not easily overlooked but Alan De Royer-Dupre won this back in 2008 and DALAYNA has leading claims in this year's renewal. Placed in Listed company, a recent outing at Maisons-Laffitte will have blown any cobwebs away and she gets the nod. Broadway Duchess is preferred to stablemate Indignant and Veiled Intrigue has more scope than Melody Of Love.
