Verdict

Double Up made a winning debut in a maiden on the Polytrack here in March. The runner-up has subsequently won so Roger Varian's colt has leading claims. But ASHKARI looked much improved when dotting up in a maiden race at Bath and he's also preferred to the more exposed Stomp. The latter won a handicap in soft ground at Windsor last time and would prefer some cut which gives Djinni a chance of reversing last season's form with Roger Charlton's charge. Costa Filey and Pensax Lad are all-weather winners stepping up in class.
