    Verdict

TROPICAL TRADITION is our pick with Locum and Epsom Salts the obvious dangers. David Arbuthnot's charge landed a classified stakes in decent style at Kempton and while it would be unwise to get too carried away by the calibre of opposition he accounted for, the fact that Martin Dwyer is here for the ride speaks volumes. Locum has become infuriating for his backers and seems to have no problems about wrestling defeat from the jaws of victory. He is sure to be close up again. Epsom Salts is in rude form at present. Given a canny ride in a recent amateurs race at this track, he suggested that there could be more to come. Taken comes here off the back of a solid performance at Kempton and will be racing off the same mark today. Star Choice had a bad day at the office on his latest start so that run can be safely ignored. Antilla and Rettorical Lad need to improve in order to win this. Tropical Tradition looks to put ticks into all of the right boxes.
