      Verdict

A wide open finale in which Dodona can improve further to score against Gran Clicquot, Fantasy Crusader and Holly Rose. Dodona gained her only two victories in August two years ago but has been hard to place since. However, she has really started to catch the eye in three runs this term, finishing in the money on each occasion. Confined to nine furlongs, she will relish the step up in trip here, and on current form, can gain a deserved success. Gran Clicquot popped in at Bath last time but that was in selling company and this looks a bit harder. Fantasy Crusader won on the course as a maiden two years ago but has not added to that. A drop in the handicap has resulted in one or two promising efforts but no more, while Integration may have flattered to deceive at Brighton last time. A bigger danger to the selection may be Holly Rose who failed to shine in a ladies race at Newmarket three weeks ago but won well under Hayley Turner at Folkestone the time before, despite flashing her tail. She can run into a place, but Dodona gets the vote.
