    Verdict

MRS BOSS looks primed to take charge of this race for Rod Millman, and can break her duck at the 11th time of asking, but none of the quartet should be immediately ruled out. Third here a couple of weeks ago, she's shown some ability at this level, and after a couple of runs now since Christmas should be race fit. She had a busy 2009, but only cost £500 and should be able to win at this sort of level, having found handicaps and nurseries too hot for her at this stage. Her best effort to date came over the minimum trip here in June,. and a repeat of that may be enough to see off her rivals. Diamond Johnny G is well ahead on official ratings after just three outings, the latter two of which were Group 2 races, so this represents a massive drop in class, although he was never in contention in those summer races at Ascot and Newmarket. He's bred for this sort of trip and surface though. Posy Fossil drops back down to the minimum trip after a couple of disappointing efforts here over 6 and 7 furlongs; just over a year ago she cost more than $100,000 but has yet to live up to hoped for promise. Jim Boyle has a decent strike rate here, but there's little to encourage us about Miss Kitty Grey, having her third run. She made her debut here last summer over course and distance but was well down the field, as she was when tried next time out over slightly further on turf. Any market support for her should be noted. It's a modest contest, which we think will go the way of Mrs Boss.
