Verdict

David Elsworth looks to have found a moderate maiden in which to place GINGER GREY, who can finally break his duck, although challenges are to be expected from the less exposed Tatawor and Jodawes. Ginger Grey's last run came back in October and was his tenth successive nursery contest; he's raced in better company, and if they can't win this sort of contest with him it's hard to see where he could go. Since his last outing he's been gelded, so could now have his mind focused on the job in hand. Jodawes is having just his second outing; on New Year's Eve he ran OK on debut over course and distance, but has been off since with a small injury. He'll need to show some improvement from that run, but is entitled to come on for it. Tatawor is slightly more exposed, with this his seventh outing, but first at this distance. The step up looks to be a positive for one that can be slowly away. Peter Winkworth owns and trains Ramble On Love, the only debutant; there's little to encourage us about him, but any market support should be noted. It's not a great looking contest, and we wouldn't take too short a price, but we'll give our token support to David Elsworth's only runner, and that's Ginger Grey.
