      Verdict

Gary Moore knows what it takes to win this race and can do so again here with Enthusius, while Haatmey, Moon Emperor and Theflyingscottie also merit mention. The selection comes from a yard who has won this contest a couple of times in recent years and therefore knows what is required. Capable of going well fresh, the gelding comes here after 182 days off the track and given that he has stayed over two miles over hurdles there is hope that this two miles will be within his compass on a surface he has won on. Haatmey ia 19lb lower than when winning at Newmarket in July of last year and almost halted the slide at Kempton over this trip last time, when fidning just Up In Arms too good. He clearly has a realistic chance here. Moon Emperor gave Haatmey 5lb and was beaten almost two lengths in that same contest and as the pair meet on the same terms there is no reason why we should expect that form to be reversed. Theflyingscottie was a soft ground winner over this trip at Thirsk in July, and came back to form over slightly shorter when runner up at Wolverhampton last time. This looks a little bit tougher than that race though, and he is opposed in favour of Enthusius.
