    Verdict

Some unexposed types in opposition here and we will side with Elmaleeha as the pick; the list of dangers is headed by Miss Rochester and Basanti. John Dunlop's filly chased home Infallible at Newmarket and she ran a fair race on her seasonal bow last time when she finished in mid-division behind Clowance, and with that run under her belt this daughter of Derby winner Galileo can get her head in front. Miss Rochester was well-backed at Ripon last time and she ran a fair race in defeat in a contest won by Mangham. That did not looked the strongest of races but she did pick-up nicely and she wasn't beaten far, and this extra furlong is another plus for her. Basanti finished behind our selection in that Newmarket maiden last season and she should be better over this longer trip, but we don't know if she has trained-on, so the lack of a recent run is a slight worry. Godolphin's Siyasa was a little disapppointing last time and she has a bit to prove, all of which returns us to Elmaleeha as the choice.
