Verdict

Difficult to find one that stands out in this tight handicap but the speculative vote goes to MISTER MACKENZIE. He makes his handicap debut on the back of decent efforts in above average maidens and may find life easier against more exposed rivals. They include One More Roman, who has claims on his recent form in claimers and Russian Bullet, who scored twice on Polytrack in December and was a losing favourite at Southwell last time. Recent Wolverhampton winner Sweet Ovation will need to improve again off a 5lb higher mark but looks best of the rest.
