Hadath has claims on the pick of his form but is proving to be expensive to follow at present and preference is for Auentraum, who gets the vote ahead of H Harrison. The last mentioned comes here on the back of a win over course and distance on Thursday but is far from certain to confirm running that day with Zazous under a 6lb penalty. Taboor deserves to win a race having been knocking on the door but he could probably do with some help from the handicapper, while Desert Light has more to do under a 6lb penalty for winning a banded stakes race at Wolverhampton on Monday. Mind Alert is another worthy of consideration but the vote goes to Auentraum, who has been good value for his last two wins in banded races and has not been unduly punished by the handicapper.
