In depth

Verdict

The ease back into this grade can help Dance On The Top, who gets the nod over Samuel Charles and Hadath, who all have plenty of experience of the course between them and can be expected to make this a competitive heat for the grade. Lakeside Guy also comes into the argument on the pick of his Wolverhampton form and is worth monitoring in the betting market. He did run well when he visited the course in February and is worth bearing in mind for one of the places. Hadath is an experienced campaigner that has several bits of useful form to his name. However, in spite of winning a modest claimer a couple of months ago, he has been hard to win with and has a very disappointing run from last time out to put behind him. Samuel Charles is another that has shown plenty at Dunstall Park that would bring him into the equation here. He is also a winner at this track and his claims will no doubt tempt many. However, Dance On The Top has been taking on much stiffer company recently and should relish this ease in grade. The selection meets the frustrating What A Dancer on much better terms than he did when they met in a handicap at this time last year and, with the tongue tie applied for the first time, Dance On The Top is being given every assistance to get back to winning ways, as he tries his hand in a claimer for the first time this afternoon.
