Verdict

A Thousand Smiles is selected to follow up a recent victory, Oldenway and Fen Game could be the ones to follow her home. Michael Jarvis's filly gained a deserved success at Wolverhampton ten days ago, easily getting the better of Dayoff by eight lengths. The handicapper will have found it hard to assess this one and he could have got in on a fair mark. Oldenway was also a comfortable winner at Southwell on the 12th of January when beating pervious scorer Spitting Image. If in the same mood again this afternoon he will be a tough nut to crack. Fen Game is from a top yard and hit winning form at Newmarket during the summer. If he handles this surface he could take a hand in the finish. Principal Witness may prove best of the remainder, but A Thousand Smiles won with so much in hand last time she should be capable of making it back to back victories
