Verdict

This should go to BADGERFORT with the minimum of fuss. John Kiely's charge followed his Cork bumper victory in April with a fine run behind the useful Martello Tower over hurdles at Killarney and there's nothing here with the calibre of that winner. Mells Theater had looked a promising type with placed efforts at Cork and Punchestown but blotted his copybook at the latter course three weeks ago and will need to get back on track. The winning point-to-pointer The Horsechesnut had an engagement here yesterday so it will be interesting to see where he turns up while Stilo Blue Native showed some potential on his hurdling debut at Galway.
