Verdict

Victrix Gale sneaks into the bottom of the weights and has an obvious chance of completing a hat-trick after victories over fences here and over timber at Listowel. She's undoubtedly progressing and jumps superbly so it will be a surprise if she isn't in the shake-up. Campbonnais ran a fine race behind Ainama at Roscommon last time and a repeat would see him go close and he just holds Jamsie Hall on the run. Mirador Del Conde won an ordinary little race at Tipperary and will need to do better but providing the ground doesn't get too heavy WELLFORTH looks the one to be on. He arrives in good form having been the surprise winner of a Grade 3 at Cork in April and of a marathon at Uttoxeter and looks well enough handicapped to gain the seventh victory of his career.
