Verdict

Joshua Lane didn't win in three bumper starts but was placed in a Listed race at Ascot and the championship event at Cheltenham. He has all the attributes to make a smart hurdler but the lack of a recent run and experience over timber could hand the initiative to VELVET MAKER. Tony Martin's charge, a winning bumper in France, made a fine debut over hurdles behind Vautour at Navan a year ago and reappeared with a fair run behind Rock The World at Down Royal last month where he pulled too hard. Uncle Danny, a winning point-to-pointer and bumper, reappeared with an encouraging run behind Free Expression at Naas where he looked certain to come on for the run. Golden Boot was beaten 10l by Sun Lieutenant at Fairyhouse but the winner is useful and there's more to come from him.
