Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has won this on numerous occasions in the past and has a trio of entries this time around. GIOVANNI CANALETTO went to Navan for his debut with a big reputation, which is hardly surprising as he's a brother to Ruler Of The World and related to Duke Of Marmalade. He started odds-on and though beaten into third stayed on nicely when getting the hang of things and can improve enough to take this. The newcomers Hobart and Los Barbados, also sons of Galileo, have to be of interest for the future with the latter in particular having a superb pedigree. Edelpour is out of a mare who won the Irish Oaks and has produced eight winners so he's definitely one to keep an eye on while John Oxx has done well in the race over the years and Foolish is related to a couple of winners.
