In depth

Verdict

RAYDARA was a 25/1 chance for her debut in what looked a very strong fillies maiden at the Curragh won by Words. Always travelling nicely, she couldn't match the pace of the winner but made a good impression and she can go one better. Baroque Poet made his debut on heavy going at the Curragh then started favourite on fast ground at Naas but weakened quickly over that 6f trip. Indian Tomahawk attracted support in that latter event and produced a promising display, staying on nicely when the race was all over, so he's one with a real chance. The four newcomers are all well connected, especially Sacrificial, who cost 27,000 euros as a yearling and 210,000 euros as a two-year-old and is out of a mare who has produced winners with her first three foals.
