Three-year-olds have a very good record in this so a chance is taken that ELUSIVE IN PARIS can transfer his improved form on Polytrack to Turf. Michael Grassick's charge won twice in May and has been given a break. He's likely to make further progress and gets the nod over the lightly-raced Piri Wango, also a dual Polytrack winner, who has competed with distinction in top handicaps at Ascot and Newmarket on his last two starts. Elusive Ridge has had 38 career starts but only raced twice over this trip and scored on both occasions. He's not badly handicapped and with Joseph O'Brien on board looks a major threat. Fairy Wing has been doing most things right and beat subsequent winner Jembatt easily over the C&D last month though an 11lb rise might prove too much to handle. Sean Og Coulston has been running well enough on ground softer than he likes so he's another to consider in an open handicap.
