Verdict

Charlie Elliott rode the winner of this a year ago but his mount Tohugo has yet to win a race despite a couple of good efforts. Ray Dawson is one of the more experienced jockeys in this and can steer EDITH COWAN to a deserved success. She was encountering fast ground for the first time when very unlucky in-running here last week and can gain compensation despite a 3lb rise. Little Arrows is just 4lb higher than when scoring over 7f here a year ago and appeared back to form at the last meeting while Ere Yesterday has shown potential in just three starts and makes her handicap debut from a lowly mark. Energize has plenty of weight but has been performing with credit in better company.
