Verdict

Bog Warrior was engaged at Naas yesterday and avoids a clash with the exciting LAST INSTALMENT. Philip Fenton's charge, a decent hurdler, has looked potentially top-class in his three starts over fences and already has a Grade 1 victory to his credit. It will be a shock to connections if he's beaten here, though Lambro beat him over hurdles at Fairyhouse in April and has also made a bright start over the bigger obstacles. He will have found 2m on the short side when beaten by Flemenstar at Naas and, with Ruby Walsh on board, looks better than stablemate Call The Police, who takes a big leap in class after landing a beginners' event at Gowran. Shot From The Hip is showing promise and will win his share of races over fences, though this is much tougher than his victory at Fairyhouse.
